How we write, source and correct.

We write for the person taking the medicine: plain words, the numbers that matter, and where each number comes from.

Medication-level charts are estimates. They illustrate the published half-lives of each medicine; they are not a measurement of your own level and not medical advice.

We take our facts from two kinds of source:

• the prescribing information for each medicine, which sets out its doses, how the dose is increased and how the body handles it;
• peer-reviewed research published in medical journals.

A dose, a timing or a result stated in an article or a tool should trace back to one of these sources, and a tool built on them names them on the page.

Our medical reviewer is Farnia Bahari, PharmD. An article she has reviewed names her and shows when it was published, and when it was last updated if it has been.

We update an article when the prescribing information or the research behind it changes, and the updated article shows the date of that update.

If you find a mistake, tell us through Support. When a report shows that an article is wrong, we correct it and update its date.
